Until a few months ago I knew little of my family history but when I temporarily relocated to the UK with my family earlier this year my curiosity about my family's root got the better of me. That, and the fact my son needed to have a family tree for a school project and the details of mine were sadly lacking!

I've been amazed at how much I have managed to learn in such a short time. I've discovered how enjoyable it is to research your own family's past. It's exhilarating every time a new discovery is made, and so much of it is so surprising and interesting!

I've set up this blog in order to keep track of my discoveries and working theories. I hope that as I go I will know more about my family, so please be aware that earlier posts may not have as much information as later posts.
